Is this the best designer collab of 2025 so far? Meet the layered and romantic vintage-inspired collection from Heidi Caillier and Joon Loloi
This collaboration is the eclectic, mix-and-match collection my home has been crying out for

As a shopping editor, I see countless new collections and collaborations every day, so it takes something truly special to grab my attention. But I've just stumbled upon what might be the designer collab of the year. And it’s only January!
This coveted collaboration between beloved interior designer Heidi Caillier and one of my favorite places to shop the best rugs, Loloi Rugs, has been burning a hole in my inbox. And today, I finally get to tell you all about it.
Known for her stylish, eclectic projects that never fail to stop me in my scrolling tracks, Heidi Caillier has honed and loaned her signature style to a collection of vintage-inspired rugs and throw pillows to help you build beautifully a layered home. Here's everything you need to know before you buy – and some styling tips from Heidi herself.
You'll already be familiar with one of the hottest rug brands around, Loloi Rugs, who have brought us some of the most exciting collaborations with the likes of Joanna Gaines, Chris Loves Julia, and Rifle Paper Co. to name but a few.
So when they announced they were launching a new home brand venture, Joon Loloi, at the end of 2024 we knew to expect big things. And they have certainly delivered.
Bringing together her love of vintage Scandinavian design, natural, flat weaves, and romantic florals, the Heidi Callier x Joon Loloi collaboration blends a cozy meets sophisticated style with 22 rugs – including luxury hand-crafted designs and more accessible power-loomed styles – and 20 must-have throw pillows.
What really sets this collection apart is its character. Inspired by heirloom textiles and a desire to create well-loved and enduring pieces, Heidi's designs feature an array of intricate patterns, muted palettes, and inviting textures designed to fit seamlessly into your home.

'I wanted to create a collection of rugs that felt timeless and unattached to a certain design period,' Heidi tells me. 'All of the designs seamlessly work in a variety of different aesthetics, rooms, and spaces.'
'We’re always searching for the perfect neutral rugs for our studio projects to ground a space, made in natural materials and weaves, and in soft patterns,' she continues. 'This approach to the floors creates a great base for the room overall and allows me to layer in rich color and pattern within the other textiles we choose for the space,' which is certainly something you can achieve in your own home too.
When I asked Heidi for her tips on styling the collection, she simply said: 'There are no rules to rugs except to do what feels right in each room.'
'It’s a common rug mistake to go too small – a larger rug will almost always look better,' Heidi advises, sharing her tried-and-tested hack for finding the right rug size: 'I like it when all the placed furniture in a room fits on top of the rug or if the space is a bit tricky, keep all furniture off of the rug (it's one or the other!).'
'The exception here is with sofas – this is when I think having half the legs on and half off is acceptable. On the other side, I’m a fan of wall-to-wall sisal or jute rugs which are so chic, but the space has to be right.'
