Anna Wintour's luxurious living room taps into Hamptons style with a coastal color palette, a gallery wall, and elevated ceramics – and you can recreate her look
The iconic face of Vogue has shared images of her living room in the Hamptons, and it's emblematic of the eponymous style

Images of 'quiet luxury' and 'old money' interiors have dominated our moodboards over the past two years. Most of these spaces feature beige furniture, awash in neutral texture. However, these narrow definitions overlook one of the most iconic takes on luxury: classic Hamptons style.
The Hamptons are synonymous with American royalty, serving as the beachy summer getaway for the elite for centuries. Thus, the style associated with this area taps into tenets of old-money coastal decor. These spaces feature heirloom pieces, muted colors, and garden plants arranged in a stunning, midimalist fashion.
It's only fitting then, that Anna Wintour, an icon of American style, has chosen to decorate her home in the Hamptons style. In recent images of her living room, we spotted how she puts a personal spin on the classic New England coastal style.

Calm, cool, and collected, the color blue is a decorating win-win: not only does it make a beautiful base for your home, but it’s scientifically proven to be a subconsciously calming shade, making you relax without even realizing it.
Make a statement in your living space with this beautiful, blue-and-white chintz sofa, which features elegant, gold legs and super comfortable cushions. It's a modern coastal take on a traditional look.
This collection of 12 x 16 white frames is perfect for featuring a gallery wall like the one seen in Anna Wintour's living room. Choose blue prints for a similar look.
Anna's blue living room features light blue walls against white flooring. Her sofa is patterned with a chintzy blue pattern and littered with bamboo-covered pillows. Behind her, a gallery wall of blue and white pieces, including antique plates draws the eye upwards. Anna's side table is full of white ceramics for a striking, decorative touch.
As Anna's home demonstrates, there is not a single way to embrace this type of scheme.
'The words ‘coastal-inspired interiors’ often conjure up images of a blue, white, and red nautical theme. However, the essence of the coast can be reimagined with a grown-up colour palette of pastel hues and through the addition of natural finishes such as reclaimed wood and stone,' explains interior design expert Lena Gierasinska.
To recreate Anna's Hamptons style in your own coastal living room, embrace cohesion and inviting combinations.

Lena recommends: 'Pair warm yellow walls with reclaimed wooden furniture for a look that feels decidedly sunny and reminiscent of the coast, yet also smart and sophisticated. The relaxed materiality of a jute rug, a selection of ceramic vases, and a pile of patterned linen cushions complete the coastal look.'
Anna Wintour's living room is the epitome of Hamptons style. No matter where you live in the world, this luxurious coastal style is one of the most elevated decor looks.
